The problem is that on the news you only see the madness that is Athens.

I don't buy much from the pharmacies here eriko, so not too much of a problem for me.

In that case, Unknown, I should have been charged 2.04 for one pack. Nevermind, I have the cheaper 600mg version now.

Chrish, the eating and drinking out prices haven't really changed at all. I got the Toplou from the booze shop in Makri high street.

I'm envious, Sean. I wish we had your petrol prices both here and in England too.

Richard, that wouldn't work for me because I'm a sometimes user. If I need an inhaler I often have to wipe the dust off first.

Dan, yes, I knew all that about Monk's pepper, and actually I have no problem with my sex drive being suppressed.Neal Asherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13933911904170752700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29616976.post-22005881668757234322012-06-19T18:39:00.698+01:002012-06-19T18:39:00.698+01:00Neal, watch it with the Monk's Pepper. It is N...Neal, watch it with the Monk's Pepper. It is NOT, repeat NOT real pepper but a plant called Vitex agnus-castus and has some rather interesting physiological effects.

The berries are used as one treatment for Cushing's Disease in horses, which is caused by benign pituitary tumours which cause hyperadrenocorticism, eventually lethal in horses. What the berries do is play about with what the pituitary gland secretes, and this happens both in horses and in humans; in both cases secretion of cortisol is reduced.

In horses, this alters their sugar metabolism. Sugar metabolism is basically pretty weird in horses (especially how it ties into the gut flora and affects their feet), but Monk's Pepper is an effective anti-Cushings treatment.

In humans, Monk's Pepper depresses the sex drive (hence it's use by monks who were supposed to be chaste and not prone to sexual desires and whatnot). The plant was also known as Chasteberry, BTW. Precisely how Monk's Pepper achieves this anti-sex effect in people isn't precisely known, but it is hypothesised that it depresses prolactin levels, which in turn depresses Follicle-stimulating hormone levels, which in men stimulates testosterone production.

So, unless you wish for a life untroubled by sex, don't eat Monk's Pepper.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02618328278732100203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29616976.post-88072404746056102312012-06-19T18:21:10.874+01:002012-06-19T18:21:10.874+01:00Neal

You cna order it on-line.It costs £104 per annum but for that you get unlimited prescriptions throughout the year. Its especially beneficial for people with chronic conditions and who need a lot of prescriptions. As an asthma sufferer I found it a useful way to contain costs because I need a number of inhalers. I have attached the relevant link below:

http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/Yourhealth/Pages/Prescriptioncosts.aspxRichardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580025511180208994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29616976.post-15506907821749055572012-06-18T18:15:45.883+01:002012-06-18T18:15:45.883+01:00My math might be a bit dodgy as it's a bit of ...My math might be a bit dodgy as it's a bit of a pain doing the conversion between pence and US dollars but...I can buy a 2 pack of generic Ibuprofen from my local super store (Costco) for $11 US. That give me 1000 tablets at 200 mg. I believe that works out to 1.4p per 200 mg.
However, if I buy the non-generic (Advil), it costs over 5x the price.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01573545353756118046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29616976.post-675018080759011612012-06-18T16:16:10.591+01:002012-06-18T16:16:10.591+01:00Garden looks good! For those products that they can get they are raising the prices to try cover this and to buy product on the grey market.
