  1. Damn! My plan to find out about more Cormac books was foiled by the mastermind himself! *Thumps fist into left hand in heroic pose whilst cape flutters in background*

    Good answers all, thanks :)

BTW, A Prador War and Pieces trilogy would be epic indeed.

  2. Is there any way that we can read your other short stories mentioned on your site which were published in magazines?
Or have you got another short story collection lined up like The Gabble?

  4. That is something I've been considering, Fader. I could even just try reading some out of The Gabble or some such.

  5. Not quite sure where this question came from, but.

Gaiman has wrote for it, Reynolds loves it. Will we ever see a Doctor Who episode penned by Asher? Do you even watch/enjoy the new Who?

I have to say, I think a Asher penned episode or two of Doctor Who would be something to behold.

  6. Do you have any stories that you'd like to write?

    Speaking of Peter Watts

  7. Do you ever start writing stuff then bin it/bench it, like our man Tolkien did.

  8. I like that you take a bit more time for each question. Even when you don't have a definitive answer it's quite interesting to know what you are thinking.

And count me in for the Prador War Trilogy as well. :-)

  9. Has there been any recent Sci-fi, be it literature or movies/TV shows that have had an impact on your writing and stories?

  10. I would love to hear a story about the unit Tak comes from in the Cowl universe. Tak was my favorite part of that world. It would be interesting to see a 30 minutes from now type book written in your hand :)

  11. Now that the Polity universe is well established, do you find it easier to come up with ideas for what will happen next in your stories?

    And...

Do you feel any responsibility for the characters you create? As in, have you had any arguments with editors etc. about the direction a character will go in and find yourself saying I wont do it/ They just wouldn't do that!?

Prador War trilogy sounds good. But dont you think the Prador and Jain Tech were the warm up and the Polity should face a real big kick-ass problem next time, lol????
