No no no! Sorry, but I hate covers that depict things too clearly.
I "know" what Cormac looks like, I have a wonderful imagine of Orlandine in my head already (behave boys!).
I prefer the older covers from say Gridlinked, Skinner etc that have this mass of visualisation about them with nothing clear or concise. Personal opinion only of course, but to me it makes the imagination of the reader work better.
That's not to say it isn't great artwork, just not what I prefer to see.
As for would I? With the one in my head, yeah :D With the one on the cover, god no.
I'm with Hitch and Paul, I preferred the old covers. The new ones are artisticly excellent but I prefer to have my own 'images' in my head not someone elses. A for Graeme's question... Oh yes! I would definately!!!
I’ve been an engineer, barman, skip lorry driver, coalman, boat window manufacturer, contract grass cutter and builder. Now I write science fiction books, and am slowly getting over the feeling that someone is going to find me out, and can call myself a writer without wincing and ducking my head. As professions go, I prefer this one: I don’t have to clock-in, change my clothes after work, nor scrub sensitive parts of my body with detergent. I think I’ll hang around.

I really like that one. Very striking and vibrant. Should stand out on the shelf I think.
WOW!! Thats just beautiful! The best one yet!
I don't remember the naked chick in a bubble
Very nice (again)
Really drives home the extent of haiman adaptation - they're really not human any more.
Question for the chaps is, of course:
Orlandine - would you ?
not a bad arse....... :D
Not at all what I envisioned in my minds eye - but I like it nonetheless
That is actually very close to how I saw it in my head when reading...
The quality of you cover-art is increasing steadily with your popularity... Good to see...

For me, I'm with Hitch. I did prefer the more abstract covers.
