This is what happens when I'm let loose in Waterstones with a gift card. The card was for £30 and I ended up spending £49. Ah well, in terms of the hours of pleasure I will hopefully find here it's not much to pay. So, after I've finished the one I'm reading now (Reviver by Seth Patrick) which one of these do you think I should read next?

The only one I've read is Idlewild, which is one of a trilogy. I enjoyed it.
The Dervish House, am really curious about that one.
I read Wake back in 2011 an really enjoyed it. It's aimed more at the YA segment but don't let that put you off. Played with some nice concepts and ideas and Sawyer writes 'blind' brilliantly.
As a matter of fact I need to read the rest of the books in the trilogy...
ah! tim powers, the stress of her regard. one of my all time favorites. i love tim's stuff in general, and stress of her regard in particular. a sort of follow up to it, Hide Me Among The Graves, is also quite clever. i've been rather shit at book recommendations thus far, i hope to redeem myself with these. ;p
Out of these I've read only "Trading in Danger" and Nexus. Enjoyed them both for different reasons. Nexus was great technology wise but Elizabeth Moon, in my opinion, is a better author overall.
Might pick up Idlewild myself.
I think you'll like Nexus a lot.
Definitely The Dervish House - a wonderful book.
Um, a variety of comments but Dervish House seems to be winning so far.
If you like post apocalyptic stuff you'll like Idlewild.
I had actually never heard of Ian MacDonald until reading this post, but I'm going to give him a go, sounds interesting.
Oh I got Nexus and Dervish House recently but I haven't read either one yet (I tend to squirrel books away like that...I cant just get one, is that OCD?!). Anyway let us know what they are like :)
Tony B, depends what the apocalypse is...
OCD Paul? My to-read stack is currently 25 books high.
Oh, and that's forgetting to mention what I have queued up on my Kindle.
Dervish House! very good.
