Cigarette Sales Down (because of e-cigs)

Despite the best efforts of many anti-smoking groups, cigarette sales were down 600 million units in the first quarter of 2013. Why? Because electronic cigarettes competed successfully with tobacco cigarettes and drove their sales down.

Utter madness of the anti-smokers: they would rather people died than found a viable alternative to smoking, because it looks like smoking. Incidentally today I've been off the roll-ups an on an e-cig for one month.

Great job on one month tobacco free, no mean feat there! The left's knee-jerk rejection of the e-cig demonstrates how intellectually shallow their positions are, towards not only tobacco use but, well, almost everything.

Vaping is catching on in a big way here in Aemerica. Ironically Big Tabacco is fighting it tooth and nail trying to ban it or at the very least heavily regulate it.

Great job and seriously vaping is much betters then the smoking. Some says that e-cigs are similarly dangerous as cigarettes but I am not supported them. I used best4ecigs e-cigarette starter kit and I really feel much better with that. I suggested it to my friends and they also appreciate their flavor.

First off, take all the compliments you've received about your writing over the years and paste them here. Ok?

I've read your blog posts off and on, mostly looking for insights to your various stories, but I usually prefer stories to stand on their own.

Because of that I rarely write authors simply because others have usually said anything I would have said.

But today I stumbled on the fact that you are a VAPER!!!!

OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG!

You've gone right to the top of my list of *good people*!

I switched to e-cigs a year ago and don't miss "analogs" at all!

Congratulations on switching away from the cancer-sticks.

I've acquired quite a collection of kit since I switched. Various batteries, tanks and such. I've tried various juices, but have centered in on menthol flavored juice as it tastes almost exactly like the menthol cigarettes I used to smoke.

I vape at my desk at work and have become more productive because I don't have to keep going outside for my smoke breaks. My company hasn't said anything one way or another on e-cigs, though I figure they'd ban it just as matter of course. When I vape at work, I exhale the vapor slowly or down my blouse so nothing shows. I'm trying to keep a low profile.

My partner still smokes, but she is trying to switch. I keep trying to encourage her, but she is quite the curmudgeon and set in her ways. She has her own kit but doesn't use it as often... yet.

Anyway, congratulations again and enjoy vaping!

Sales of e-cigarettes are expected to hit about $1 billion this year, twice what they were in 2012. That's only 1% of the total U.S. cigarette market, which indicates that demand could rise much higher. Not surprisingly, public health advocates are plenty worried in light of the industry's stepped-up marketing. e cigarette free trial
