Thanks a lot Gordon.
Of course, it's worth noting that the sum promised is in dollars this time. This is probably because Qassam Missile Inc. would rather be paid in a currency with some chance of retaining its value.

Note: If you’d like to check out just how much of your money is blown each year on funding outside of Britain by the Department for International Development, check out the figures in the tables starting at page 240 of this document. Oh, and since the figures are in ‘£ thousand’ don’t forget to add three zeros. Yep, you guessed it: it’s billions. DFID expenditure was in the region of £4.6 billion in 2005/06. As for 2008/09, these tables give planned expenditure, so probably more was spent. Here’s some examples: after £163 million on administration you’ll be glad to know £94 million was to be thrown at ‘global environment funds’ and about £1.5 billion at Africa .

What I find rather strange out this is that Israel bombs the gazza strip, killing loads of people. The U.S. makes tacit noises about how they are just defending themselves, and who ends up coughing up ? Yeah, us.
WTF ?
It's their fight, leave them to it. We've got plenty to worry about in the coming year, if they want to blow chunks out of each other, leave them to it.

Talk about throwing your money into a pit. You'd think that being in an 'economic crisis', it'd be a good idea to help your own people... then you'll make money to help everyone else...
Also. Why don't people ever move? That's been a firing range longer than I can remember... and all of the US Gulf states?
You can't be too poor to move, you can be poor anywhere. It can't be your home, all you ever do is rebuild. Just move your stupid asses.
yep, that's gordon - handing out OUR money like it's water to africa and hamas, no questions asked. whilst here everyone's f*cked up the arse by first the government; and then all the public service companies - 6% increase in rail fares this week? - why thankyou sir! because i sure as hell know i didn't get a 6% rise in pay.... in fact i haven't had a payrise for the last couple of years.
in terms of gaza - if the people were stupid enough to actually elect a terrorist organisation for a government - as they obviously were - then imo let them rot in their own pit. i know know that because of the problems hamas is now the bigest employer in gaza, therefore embedding itself ever deeper into their society, but they only need to stop firing rockets into israel and then the israelis will stop bombing the crap out of them.
