Bluewater Waterstones.

They were probably wondering why this mad woman was taking pictures in their shop. Little did they know that Caroline keeps a creature in her house, and that creature has a big fat ego that needs regular feeding.

I note that I'm encroaching on Asimov's territory in the last picture.

Hey, that is the shelf I buy your books from!

If you ever go there yourself can you sign a few?

We have a fantastic bookshop in Trondheim. Its the kind of shop that also sells Graphic Novels, Japanese love cushions and even has Warhammer nights, but it has excellent Asher coverage along with the other current and past greats.

I shall have to sneak a pic of your section and help stoke the fire for you.

Don't let it go to your head it's just a quirk of the alphabet :-0

Ha, ha. I wonder if having a surname ending with an "A" has any benefit when it comes to sales. You should be the first author people see when browsing, so it has to count for something!

Please do, Stu (hey, that rhymes).

I won't Graeme, but still, it's nice to see Banks on the shelf beneath me...

Crusader, it does have its benefits. Every time some list best books or some such is published, and if I'm on it, I often sit right at the top.

I'm thinking Asher might not be your real last name, just a clever marketing ploy!

I will get you a picture from Truro (Cornwall) Waterstone's too.

Hey, if it was a marketing ploy I would have called myself Neal Aardvaark just to ensure I stayed above Joe Abercrombie.

I like this idea about book shop photos. Let's be having them!

I love the new covers. Almost makes me go out and buy them again.

I don't blame you about the coach trip. Wouldn't go near one either.

You are also on the shelves of the waterstone's in Oxford Street too. You are also in Foyles (but so is every other author).

And an independent in Hays Galleria near London Bridge.

Will get some photo's for you.

Don't get arrested by the anti-terrorist police, guys.

Wrote that on the way back from the pub last night.

Travelling round London taking pictures of book shelves does not feel like such a good idea now . . .

I saw an entire raft of yours in WHSmiths Lakeside. I was amazed at the time, as Smiths generally seem to be lean with their science fiction. And as for Waterstones down near Leadenhall Market, go n' ave a word geezer, they never have more than on or two.

I need to replace my Sable Keech. So I pop in from time to time on the off chance, no luck so far.

And can I also say I read one of Mr Banks "Matter", hmmm? Clever, funny in places, maybe a touch bloaty, disappointing ending.

I'll be popping in mine on Monday, will tell them exactly why I am taking pics and watch them line up to smile alongside the books :D
