Ah, it occurs to me that The Technician should come after Line War. Whilst the story starts concurrent with the events in The Line of Polity, the bulk of it occurs twenty years later.
I’ve been an engineer, barman, skip lorry driver, coalman, boat window manufacturer, contract grass cutter and builder. Now I write science fiction books, and am slowly getting over the feeling that someone is going to find me out, and can call myself a writer without wincing and ducking my head. As professions go, I prefer this one: I don’t have to clock-in, change my clothes after work, nor scrub sensitive parts of my body with detergent. I think I’ll hang around.

Cool, and Orbus possibly wasn't the easiest place to stat (great though).
what do you suggest for a first book? Gridlink and The Skinner seem to be the only ones i can pick up for people generally.
I would suggest The Gabble since its a great pastiche, but its rarity is like finding a secret duck billed pyramid in a distant foreign plateau.
Hi Neal, glad you liked the graphic and thanks for the link! I'll update it to correct the placing on The Technician.
Um, there's nothing there, Afront.
Sorry not sure what happened there - try from here instead.
Thanks Afront - that's excellent.
