Apologies if this has been asked before, I'm new to this. My question is, how much actual science do you think you need to know, and in how much depth, to write sci-fi? Is a subscription to "New Scientist" going to give you what you need?
incredibly rich, owning Crete, and retired, you ask a living or dead author to do a follow up to their book that made an impression on you. the story line you would like to see more of, so, you are funding their writing for the next couple years. who is this author and what book are they doing a follow up on?
you are free to contribute tidbits to the novel as your whim demands. you can have several living or dead authors working for/with you at once also. its all up to you...
Q: Do you see the agent Cormac storyline as completed now? Or will his story continue? Is he a wanted man now or does he still have agent status? Although this seems a bit unlikely after the events at the end of his final installment...

As a reader of SF before you became a writer who was your biggest influence?

And for a question: do you watch any sci-fi tv series, and if so which would you recommend (new or old)?
It was a response to your miss reading my name after I know you had already the pronunciation

Did Futuramas Dr Zoidberg provide inspiration for the Prador, Arthropod villains...?
Dear Neal,
Avid fan here.
Would you ever consider teaming up with another author to write something? If so who and why? If not why not?
Does the Polity represent your ideal for a future society?
Do you think we'll ever get off this rock to colonise other parts of the galaxy without blowing everything up in the process?
(hehe reg. facepalm, thought you knew that one Neal) :)
